Inspiring Mentors

Love • Compassion • Joy • PeaceThe goddess KaliThese inspiring Teachers are a constant source of love and support to many people. They are life changing mentors with whom I was fortunate to meet and to train extensively. Yogis and yoginis, visionaries and healers, they live for the benefit of all Beings and connect us to Enlightened Wisdom Company and Sangha (Spiritual Community). I offer my unending gratitude and joyful service for their compassionate wisdom.* Indicates this teacher has died. As my teachers pass and are no longer in their body, their generosity and teachings remain for us to share with the next generations.

Testimonials

  • “My mom and I brought me little newborn daughter to see you on Friday. She’s doing great. She hasn’t been fussy or anything since her appt. She seems really really relaxed. My mom and I had such a great time on Friday, we’d like to see you again and bring my husband.”
  • Medical Notes for CST:
    Constipation erased
    Projectile vomiting reduced
    Reflux lessened
    Sleep patterns improved
    Latching on for nursing improved
Distress, irritability calmed“My introduction to cranial sacrum [sic] therapy was through a physician. I would never have considered this alternative therapy for my newborn if not for this trusted recommendation. I had concerns about my child’s misshaped head, sucking issues and sleeping patterns of which the medical profession was unable to address. Janet is gentle, kind and a true expert in this field. The results achieved were remarkable. I would recommend Janet and her therapy for all newborn infants.”

  • “It is mid January and I am still feeling the effects of the Riverbluff Sanctuary December Meditation Retreat. The retreat is a beautiful combination of inner stillness and sweet intimate connection. There is a special bond that is formed with others through silence, even eating together in silence was so sweet. I had never meditated for more than an hour at a time so I was a little nervous about sitting for 1-2 hour stretches over several days, but once I got used to it, the consistency of this inner silence led to deep insight, peace, and compassion. It is as if I got reconnected, and something shifted that is still rippling into my everyday life. I know I need to make it a priority and commit to it in order to really do it. I recommend it to all. The beauty is it will enrich you and all sentient beings! Thank you, Janet and Howie, for your commitment and for this offering.”
  • “Janet is very good at what she does. She connects in to the core of a patient/client in a very non intrusive way. She helps to open a dialog between the patients mind and the body. Old patterns surface easily to consciously examine, allowing you to feel the power they hold, which helps bring clarity and voilà, the healing begins.“I have participated in several of Janet’s Zapchen study groups. I love the whole Zapchen phenomenon, which includes practices like humming and ‘ah’ and jiggling and stretching and especially napping. And the magic of a pause! Being in this milieu has guided and informed my life, given me new vistas to consider and opened my mind and heart to what’s possible in this business of being human and relating to other people. Janet has gathered so many wisdom teachings unto herself and she generously shares these.“I also took her Vagus classes – these are very worthwhile, I highly recommend. I learned a lot about the body and caring touch, as well as some valuable self-care practices that I continue to do for calming my body.“Janet is a caring teacher, she paces the classes so there is plenty of ‘nap’ time, she is supportive and protective and sensitive to the needs of each person in the group. I am grateful to her for offering all that she offers.”
  • “…Extraordinary intuition and perception, beautiful expression of deep truths, a being full of light!”
  • “…Janet gives specific, concrete advice in an area that is highly subjective.”
  • “…I really love that I can ask any question without feeling shame or embarrassment.”
  • “…Janet has given me more nurturing than I have received in all the rest of my life.”
  • “Janet as teacher creates an environment of safety, happiness, awareness… an ideal learning environment.”
  • “Janet is a gifted practitioner and a wonderful teacher. She radiates loving kindness and is able to create a safe learning environment of non-judgment and self-exploration. I especially appreciate her open-hearted welcoming nature. She is truly a treasure.”
  • “I feel so fortunate to study with Janet! The words compassion and wisdom are not just concepts; I experience them through her very actions. She walks her talk with grace and welcomes everyone to feel at home to learn new things. I am more at home and happy in my body and more wiling to express my true emotions, thanks to her Zapchen and Hold Me Tight classes. The days of meditation in Winter Retreat are incredibly special as I experience a new sense of peace. My practices with her influence my life and my work in an incredible way. She is not only a gifted healer and teacher but an amazing human being.”
  • “We have been applying the Hold me Tight tools very often. It has been so healing and connecting for us. We are actively learning to speak in a caring, non-violent, truly understanding way as we slowly continue to overcome our attachment fears. I feel more secure, I feel I’m increasingly able to open up my deep feelings to him now that we both have this common knowledge. That makes me so hopeful and of course thankful to you and the space you opened for all of us participants…I liked a lot how we got the chance to practice the conversations and to kind of hook our learning process to them. Also… the naps! I have underrated naps all my life!”
